Andrew J. DeMaio Lectures on Probate Code Changes
Andrew J. DeMaio participated in the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education's "New Probate Code" seminar on May 23, 2006. He explained how recent changes to the probate code affect nontraditional couples and reviewed recent developments in the courts concerning the admission of wills to probate.

Mary Patricia Magee and Andrew J. DeMaio Participate in Probate and Trust Symposium
Andrew J. DeMaio served as moderator and Mary Patricia Magee lectured at the NJICLE 2006 Probate and Trust Symposium on April 20, 2006. Ms. Magee spoke on the topic of the effective use of the estate tax marital deduction in estate planning.

Mary Patricia Magee Elected Secretary/Treasurer of Estate and Financial Planning Council
Mary Patricia Magee has assumed office as Secretary/Treasurer of the Estate and Financial Planning Council of Central New Jersey. The Council provides continuing education programs and networking opportunities for attorneys, accountants, trust officers, financial consultants and other professionals in the estate planning community.



Andrew J. DeMaio will speak at Uniform Probate Code Sessions
Andrew J. DeMaio will participate in several continuing legal education programs concerning the recent enactment of the New Jersey Revised Uniform Probate Code. Mr. DeMaio and other panel members will explain the provisions of the new law and how they modify existing law. The sessions will be offered by the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education (NJICLE), the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC) and the Monmouth Bar Association Probate Committee.


Mary Patricia Magee Appointed Chair of Probate Committee
Mary Patricia Magee has been appointed as the Chair of the Probate Committee of the Monmouth Bar Association. The Committee meets periodically to conduct educational sessions and to make recommendations to the Monmouth Bar Association regarding matters of interest to the trusts and estate bar.
